Ivanka Trump MOCKED in ruthless backlash after huge Twitter blunder leaves her red-faced

IVANKA TRUMP has been roundly mocked on social media after making a major gaffe in congratulating the new Prime Minister Boris Johnson on his leadership victory.

Taking to Twitter, Ivanka sent her best wishes to Mr Johnson in a tweet seen by her millions of followers. But in the message she mistakenly called the UK the “United Kingston”. Twitter went into meltdown with thousands of people savaging the First Daughter of the US.

One wrote: “Sorry princess. Ain’t getting away with this.”
Another said: “The internet never forgets.
“Is the United Kingston next to Whales?”
'Whales' is in reference to a tweet sent out by Ivanka's father, US President Donald Trump in which he wrongly spelt the country 'Wales' as 'Whales'.
 

A third added: “Half an hour to correct the spelling. Well done.
“FYI, BoJo's not officially PM until the Prince of Whales slaps him with a fish.”
Her original Twitter message gained hundreds of retweets and thousands of likes.
The message was later deleted and a second was sent out.
Ivanka’s dad Donald Trump earlier tweeted his congratulations to Mr Johnson.

Mr Trump said on Twitter: "Congratulations to Boris Johnson on becoming the new Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. He will be great!”
In June, Mr Trump said Mr Johnson was his preferred candidate.
He said of the Tory leadership race: “I actually have studied it very hard. I know the different players.
“But I think Boris would do a very good job. I think he would be excellent. I like him. I have always liked him.
"I don't know that he is going to be chosen but I think he is a very good guy, a very talented person."
