The controversial meeting could even see Kate and Prince William, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, rubbing shoulders with Mr Trump’s daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner. ABC News reports Mr Trump will bring his children to Britain for the three-day visit to mark the 75th anniversary of D-Day, where they could be welcomed by the Royal Family. His children, including Ivanka, Tiffany Trump, Donald Trump Jr, Eric Trump and his wife Lara, are expected to attend the Queen’s banquet at Buckingham Palace on June 3. There they are expected to meet Kate and William during the festivities. However Mr Trump’s youngest son, Barron, is not expected to join his parents in the UK. New York Times White House correspondent Maggie Haberman tweeted: “POTUS state visit to the UK is set to include not just the president’s children who work in the White House, but also his other adult children, per multiple people familiar with planning.” The news comes after the US leader and his wife Melania Trump enjoyed tea with the Queen at Windsor Castle last summer, which sparked mass protests in central London. This time, Donald Trump is also expected to meet Prince Charles and his wife Camilla for afternoon tea at Clarence House. The controversial meeting comes after it was suggested Charles and his sons Prince William and Prince Harry had refused to meet Mr Trump. Prince Charles and Donald Trump, who did not meet during the 2018 visit, are known to have contrasting views on the environment. Mr Trump’s formal visit follows a working trip to the UK last summer which sparked demonstrations across the country. Campaigners are again hoping to fly a blimp, depicting the US president as a nappy-wearing baby, over London after it was hoisted in Parliament Square during protests against the US leader’s last trip. Kensington Palace and the White House have yet to confirm the schedule.
