IVANKA TRUMP has revealed her battle with postpartum depression after the birth of her three children. The daughter of Donald Trump, age 35, who regularly tweets and posts on Instagram about her children revealed the news on an American TV programme.

Ivanka Trump has revealed her struggle with postpartum depression, also known as postnatal depression, on an US TV programme yesterday.
The 35-year-old daughter of President Donald Trump, and mother-of-three, appeared on Dr.Oz and made the surprise revelation.
Ivanka, who is married to Jared Kusher, has three children Arabella Rose, 6, Theodore James, 3, and Joseph Frederick, 1.
Appearing on the programme, Ivanka said: “After each of the three children I had some level of postpartum depression and it was a very challenging emotional time for me because I felt that I was not living up to my potential as a parent or as an entrepreneur and executive.
“I had such easy pregnancies so in someway the juxtaposition hit me even harder.”
When pressed on why she felt ready to open up about such a personal issue, Ivanka said: “Well I didn’t know I was but you asked me a question and it’s incredibly important.

The NHS described postnatal depression as, “a type of depression that many parents experience after having a baby.”
It adds: “Many women feel a bit down, tearful or anxious in the first week after giving birth. This is often called the "baby blues" and is so common that it’s considered normal. The "baby blues" don’t last for more than two weeks after giving birth.
“If your symptoms last longer or start later, you could have postnatal depression. Postnatal depression can start any time in the first year after giving birth.”

Some have called on Ivanka to act to stop the US Government attempts to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which provides provisions for those struggling with poor mental health.
Co-creator of The Daily Show Lizz Resistead tweeted: “Hey @IvankaTrump Your cruel and creepy dad would cut funding for OTHER people to get help with Postpartum depression.”
Another said: “Sorry @IvankaTrump so many women won't be able to get help like you did once your father screws healthcare.”
One more wrote: “Oh sweetie @IvankaTrump while postpartum depression is a real issue. Don't you know your daddy is advocating to rip HCI away from millions.”

Recent reports claim Ivanka Trump are inspiring women to spend thousands on plastic surgery.
Women are begging surgeons to make them look like the daughter of the US president.
Dr Norman Rowe, a board certified plastic surgeon, told US publication Page Six since the summer of 16 "maybe four [clients] a month, one a week" have asked him to give them the Ivanka look - wide cheekbones, a slender nose and large eyes.
Around 50 of Rowe's clients have asked for the 'Ivanka look' since last summer, and the President's daughter now rivals Kylie Jenner as the most sought-after celebrity face.
