Lara Trump talked to FOX26 Great Day on Thursday, September 26th, a day after Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi announced an impeachment investigation into President Trump.
When Jim De La Vega asked if she finds the text of the conversation with the Ukrainian leader inappropriate, Lara Trump said, "Well, it's certainly not illegal. It's certainly doesn't warrant impeachment of a president. That's the bottom line here. And I think when we're talking about the Democrats who called for impeachment inquiries, Jim, before they even saw the transcripts, they really didn't care what was in it. They were looking for any way to get Donald Trump out of office, because again, this has nothing to do with actually this phone call. This is about the fact that they are still not over the 2016 election results. Donald Trump is our president and they still have not gotten over that 2 1/2 years later."
Lara Trump went on to say that there was no suggestion that aide would be withheld from Ukraine or that there would be any pressure of any kind and she pointed out the Ukrainian president said so himself on Wednesday.
