Melania Trump, 49, is expected to re-open the Washington monument later today.
The 555ft landmark, built to commemorate former US president George Washington, was damaged by an earthquake in 2011 and has been closed to the public on and off ever since.
The First Lady of America is likely to take part in the official ribbon cutting ceremony and will almost certainly make a stylish appearance at the event.

Former model Melania is well known for her love of fashion and is always impeccably dressed when she attends public events and political functions with her husband.
 

The wife of President Donald Trump, 73, is lucky enough to be able to afford desirable designer pieces and has stepped out in a number of show-stopping and budget-breaking looks in recent years.
