Ivanka Trump’s new dog has people talking. Here’s a look at other presidential pups

Ivanka Trump posted a photo Monday of her daughter Arabella Kushner’s birthday gift: A snow-white pup named Winter. 

People were quick to throw shade with racial undertones, commenting on the dogs blue-eyed, all-white appearance. Others posted supportive comments.

Although Winter isn’t technically the first dog (The president and first lady aren’t known to have any pets), the pup likely holds an open invite to the South Lawn. Here is a look at other top dogs that have, at one point, sniffed around the White House.
