While Donald Trump Jr. and Ivanka Trump skipped their father’s highly touted Fourth of July speech to reportedly party in the Hamptons, they were being bashed in an interview by their mother’s ex-husband and longtime boyfriend.
Rossano Rubicondi, 47, the fourth husband of Ivana Trump, 70, called her children with President Donald Trump “disgusting,” heartless and a “disgrace” of human beings who are only concerned with money.
Rubicondi’s comments in Page Six came a week after Page Six reported that Ivana Trump had split with him for good, saying she was done with marriage and dating. The Czech-born businesswoman married the Italian ex-model in a lavish ceremony at Mar-a-Lago in 2008. They divorced the following year but maintained an on-off relationship for another decade, even appearing last year on Italy’s version of “Dancing With the Stars.”
Rubicondi asserted that he had “good respect” for Ivana Trump, who told Page Six last week that their relationship “just ran its course” and their breakup was “amicable.”
“Rossano spends a lot of time in Italy and I spend a lot of time in New York, Miami and Saint-Tropez, and he has to work,” Ivana Trump told Page Six last week. “The long-distance relationship really doesn’t work. We had a good time and are friends.”
While Rubicondi similarly expressed friendly feelings for Ivana Trump, he had little good to say about her children, Donald Jr., Ivanka and Eric — especially her oldest son.
“Don Jr. is an idiot. He’s a jerk,” Rubicondi said emphatically when reached for a comment by Page Six. “Put it down: ‘You are a jerk.’ Put it in capital letters!”
Rubicondi also called Ivana Trump’s children “scum” and “stupid,” though he pulled back from including Ivanka Trump in the “stupid” category, saying, “They are disgusting. We are talking about kids who are so stupid, except Ivanka.”
But Rubicondi also said Trump Jr., Ivanka and Eric had been rude to him and accused them of speaking to him in terms that “I don’t appreciate.” He added: “I don’t care who is your father or mother, you do not talk to me like that.”
Rubicondi also emphasized that he wasn’t after Ivana Trump’s money, suggesting that money had been a source of tension between him and her children.
“No one touched a dollar or dime from their family,” Rubicondi said. “I don’t know (if that’s why they didn’t like me), but these people are all about money. They don’t have a heart. They are garbage.”
According to Page Six, Rubicondi also has worked as an actor and businessman and recently considered opening a pizzeria in New York City. Ivana Trump, meanwhile, worked alongside Donald Trump in his Manhattan real estate empire and came away from their 1992 divorce with $14 million, a 45-room mansion in Greenwich, Connecticut, and the use of the 118-room Mar-a-Lago mansion in Florida for one month a year, the New York Times reported.
Ivana Trump then built her brand by selling fragrances and jewelry and by authoring books, including her 2017 memoir, “Raising Trump,” about being the the mother of the president’s three oldest children.
Ivana Trump told Page Six last week that she had reached a stage in her life when she wants to be single and no longer cares about dating: “I have the freedom to do what I want, with whomever I want to, and I can afford my lifestyle.”
She’s reportedly off to Saint-Tropez, France, for the summer.
