Ivanka Trump's rebellious side revealed: How First Daughter was chucked out of school

The First Daughter is one of President Donald Trump’s closest advisers, along with her husband Jared Kushner.

Her image is a lot cleaner than her father’s and she is considered to be a calm, humanising influence on him. However, she was not so well-behaved when she was younger, according to 2019 book ‘Kushner Inc’.

Author Vicky Ward claimed that, when Ivanka was 15, she was told not to return to her exclusive all-girls private school after repeatedly missing classes. She was reportedly absent in order to work on her modeling portfolio at her father’s resort Mar-a-Lago in her early teens. After Manhattan-based Chapin School asked her to leave, she enrolled at Choate Rosemary Hall, a boarding school in Connecticut. At her new school, she reportedly stuck out as being ‘new money’ by the way her parents dressed and acted.

That said, her father’s wealth and influence apparently got her out of punishment at the school. Ms Ward alleges that Ivanka once attended a party at a teacher’s house that was reportedly shut down because of drugs and alcohol. Other students were expelled or suspended, but Ivanka allegedly avoided punishment because her father rang the school. One former classmate told Ms Ward: “It was unfair.”

“But the part that sticks in my mind was the fact that no one was there with her.
“It was a big deal. It was weird.”
A friend of Ivanka’s added: “The dysfunction and loneliness of Ivanka’s family, the absence of her parents from her life, put her in a situation where she was vulnerable.”
