IVANKA TRUMP arrived in the UK this past weekend ahead of her father President Donald Trump’s three-day state visit. But why did she once have a meltdown with her father?
Ivanka Trump is United State’s President Donald Trump’s daughter, from his first marriage to model and businesswoman Ivana Trump. Ivanka and Donald’s relationship has often hit headlines, from his questionable comments to her appointment as an advisor in his administration. Now a book from New York Times bestselling author, investigative journalist, columnist and television commentator Victoria Ward has shed some light on Ivanka’s relationship with her father. `
Ms Ward’s book Kushner, Inc is described as the “first explosive book” about Javanka - Jared Kushner and Ivanka - and “their infamous rise to power.”
According to the book’s blurb: “Jared Kushner and Ivanka Trump are the self-styled Prince and Princess of America.
“Their swift, gilded rise to extraordinary power in Donald Trump’s White House is unprecedented and dangerous.”
The book is based on 220 interviews, most of them anonymous, and sees Ms Ward argue Ivanka is the president’s “greatest weakness”.
ccording to Kushner, Inc there was one occasion on which Ivanka stormed into her father’s office after Kellyanne Conway, counsellor to the president, encouraged viewers to buy Ivanka’s merchandise on Fox & Friends.
Ms Ward wrote: “Ivanka had a meltdown. She had been embarrassed by Conway’s toadying.
“One source recalled, ‘Ivanka got really mad. She stormed into [Trump’s] office.’
“In front of other people, Trump quickly deflated his daughter: ‘Honey, you sell shoes. Calm down.’”
According to Ms Ward, Ivanka, 37, is meticulous about her image, often showing up late to the White House, having her hair and makeup professionally done and sometimes changing her outfit “three times a day.”
She also claims Ivanka is primarily motivated by self-interest — but actually has less influence over her father than people might think.
The author also writes Mr Trump will often put his daughter in her place by reminding her publicly of what she cannot do.
Ms Ward wrote: “Very, very occasionally Trump embarrassed her, deliberately showing White House senior staff — and her — the limitations of her brazen efforts to manipulate him.

“It was apparent that he sometimes thought she needed to be publicly reminded who was in charge.”
The White House has lashed out against the book, however, saying the contents are completely false.
Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said: “It’s sad, but not surprising, the media would spend time promoting a book based on shady anonymous sources and false information instead of all the incredible work Jared and Ivanka are doing for the country.
“The author, on her own website, listed this book in the category of ‘fiction’ — until recently changing it. Her initial representation was accurate.”
