Ivanka Trump told an interviewer today that it is "inappropriate" to ask whether or not she believes the numerous sexual misconduct allegations made against her father, Donald Trump.
In a filmed interview for NBC News, the White House advisor dismissed claims made by 16 women accusing the US President of sexual harassment and inappropriate behaviour - allegations he has denied.
“I think it's a pretty inappropriate question to ask a daughter if she believes the accusers of her father when he’s affirmatively stated that there’s no truth to it,” said Trump on NBC’s The Today Show. “I don't think that's a question you would ask many other daughters.”
"I believe my father. I know my father," she continued. "So, I think I have that right, as a daughter, to believe my father."“Do you believe your father’s [sexual misconduct] accusers?” -@PeterAlexander— TODAY (@TODAYshow) 26 fĂ©vrier 2018

She also discussed her father's controversial idea of ending school-based gun crime by issuing teachers with guns. His suggestion comes after a mass shooting earlier this month at a Parkland, Florida, high school that left 17 people dead.
The first daughter said that she isn't against the notion in principle, but wants to "discuss" it in greater depth.
“I think that having a teacher who is armed, who cares deeply about her students, or his students, and who is capable and qualified to bear arms is not a bad idea, but it is an idea that needs to be discussed,” she told interviewer Peter Alexander.
